The Importance of an Electronic Prototype: The electronic prototype is a product of the development process and an essential part of design and certification. In electronics prototyping, we take a concept that only exists on paper and validate it in physical form that works the way it should. How an electronic product responds to user input is difficult to quantify without direct experience. As a development tool for validating the electronic design, a prototype is critical to understanding the complex interaction between user and device.

Pilot Builds: From concept to prototype…we provide the operational flexibility to support the most unique pilot build programs. Our manufacturing systems are designed in order to manufacture single-piece prototypes and market evaluation builds in preparation for full-scale ready–state production.

Finding Your Manufacturing Partner: Allied Electronic Engineering works with our clients from concept to manufacture. We will gladly assist you in handing over your new design for manufacture in Asia after your project has been completed. Our facility in the USA is only for prototyping and 'one off' systems. We are not affiliated with the manufacturers we refer in Asia. It is done as a courtesy and convenience to our esteemed clients.

Creating the Golden Prototype: In the development stage, several working electronic prototypes can usually be made by hand and tested by our engineers. The electronic prototypes are then sent to our customers for further testing on site to get feedback and identify errors that will be fixed later. Once the electronic prototype has been adequately tested and validated, the prototype is marked as a gold sample for production. This is then used as a benchmark or standard against which serial units are compared. This gold pattern is also used for certification purposes and is sent to third party testing facilities for CE, UL, FCC or ROHS approvals.
